ABOUT

East Made Event Company is an international, award-winning wedding planning and design company based in Maryland and Virginia and serving the East Coast and beyond. We accommodate a limited number of weddings per year to ensure that all of our clients receive the personalized attention they deserve.

Our style is fine art, creative weddings - modern celebrations with an artistic aesthetic.

We are very happy to travel, are passport ready, and love to explore this beautiful world. Our 2017 event schedule is taking us around the globe, from Charleston, South Carolina to London, England.

WHY "EAST MADE?"

"East Made" is a reference to our upbringing - Baltimore-raised, East Coast lovers, with a penchant for travel and appreciation for art and design. Owner Elizabeth shares her time between Baltimore and Richmond, and loves the personality and charm of Baltimore (see what we did there, Charm City?) and the quirky independence and southern tradition of Richmond. East Made is a style, a brand, an identity, a seamless transition from your past to your future.

OUR MISSION

At East Made, we believe in the inviting warmth of a wedding so personally tailored to you that walking through the door feels like coming home. Our favorite gatherings are replete with laughter, effusive tears, memorable music, and delectable food, surrounded by your dearest family and friends. Our work happens quietly and unobtrusively behind the scenes, allowing you and your guests the precious time and energy needed to fully enjoy a stellar celebration. We build close, personal relationships with our clients—full of humor, creativity, and trust, and are eager to learn about your unique story.

ELIZABETH GOPAL

OWNER, LEAD PLANNER, & STYLIST

Elizabeth was born and raised in downtown Baltimore, went to college in Texas, and then returned to the same Baltimore neighborhood where she grew up. She met her husband playing viola in a string quintet together in college, exchanging smiles and glances from across the stage. Her love of love, romance, and weddings turned professional when she founded Chesapeake Strings in 2010 and began working at weddings every weekend. In working with couples to plan their wedding music, Elizabeth found herself including vendor recommendations and planning tips, and a few years later decided to form East Made.

ANNA HARRIS

ASSOCIATE PLANNER

Anna was born and raised in Towson, Maryland and enjoyed her first venture into the wedding industry when she was just 16 years old as a ceremony cellist! After attending college in Manhattan, Anna returned to the Baltimore area and founded Hill Chamber Music while pursuing a career in Production Management in the Performing Arts field. After seven years of Event and Production Management, Anna is excited to help execute stunning, crafted weddings for East Made couples! She loves cooking, interior decor, travel, and hosting parties.

LOVES

  • Touches of gold
  • Natural textures layered throughout an event
  • Personal touches from the bride and groom
  • Cocktails before the ceremony
  • Cooking and enjoying delicious food
  • Romantic lighting
  • Getting to know each bride's personal style
  • Mismatched, personalized bridesmaids dresses
  • Stunning florals

Thanks to you and Anna for all of your hard work. Everything came together perfectly and Anna handled the ceremony perfectly. The reception was beautiful. Everything was how I imagined it or better. Your communication with all of the other vendors must have been thorough because there was essentially no need for me to coordinate any of them. The day unfolded without a problem which allowed my husband and I to fully enjoy the whole experience.
