A penguin, a packed dance floor, happy tears, and an ice cream sundae bar - I can't believe it has already been a week since Stephanie and Joe's amazingly fun wedding! I absolutely loved working with this sweet couple on month-of coordination and they did such a great job of choosing their colors, vendors, and details. After a full day of pouring rain on Friday (which pushed our ceremony rehearsal inside!) the clouds parted and Saturday's weather was mild and perfect!
I loved working at the zoo - the grounds and Mansion House are such picturesque wedding locations. There are also some really unique features to having a wedding at the zoo: a pre-ceremony golf cart tour of the grounds and some live animal visitors at the cocktail hour!
Meghan from Meghan Rose Photography posted this cute photo of Stephanie and Joe in front of the carousel, which was taken along their golf cart tour. How much do you love their glowing smiles and his fun socks?
Then, during the cocktail hour, guests met Lily the penguin, a kookaburra, and a large, Flemish rabbit! I'm pretty sure Lily stole the show with her cute penguin waddle.
I can't wait to share the professional photos and full vendor list with you but for now, I hope you enjoy this little video compilation made from some snippets I recorded during the wedding day:
From the bride:
I cannot say enough good things about Elizabeth and East Made Event Company. She did an incredible job - I was one of those brides who thought I could plan/handle it all, and she reached out to me about month-of planning when I booked Chesapeake Strings. It was the perfect timing as I was slowly losing it over timelines and dealing with vendors.
She was incredibly helpful and wrote a detailed day-of timeline, organized our rehearsal and our entire processional, made sure everything looked perfect and herded guests to the appropriate areas. She interacted with our vendors so that we didn't have to, and was just amazing. On top of that, she is upbeat but relaxed and kept me calm on my big day. Book her, you won't regret it!!
Congratulations again, guys - you deserve a lifetime of happiness!
