Sneak Peek: Ethereal Coastal Styled Shoot
Happy Monday, everyone!
Exactly a week ago this morning I was packing the car for Styled Shoot #3: Ethereal Coastal. As every planner does before an outdoor event, I started checking the weather forecast about two weeks in advance, mentally compiling back-up-plans A through Z. As it turns out, shoot day was partly cloudy, rain-free and mid-70s - totally ideal. Insert *sigh of relief* here.
The color palette for this shoot was inspired by the Pantone colors of the year, rose quartz and serenity. When I first saw this color pairing, I have to admit I wasn't 100% on board. Baby shower, anyone? But then, I noticed how those exact colors delicately show up on the horizon at sunset and thought, "I want to work with this."
Eventually I ended up choosing a more grey-blue hue instead of the exact serenity color above because I found Carol Hannah's Oceane gown. I mean...
Both of these photos were taken with iPhones, the one above by our photographer, Caitlin (you can tell it was taken by a pro!) and the one below by me. I can't wait to see what this dress will look like on film! Seriously, Oceane was amazing to work with and the perfect coastal color. Not to mention all. that. tulle.
Our stunning models are Sammy and Mike, a real-life couple! I love working with real couples because their natural chemistry translates so easily into photos.
We also had a fantastic vendor team working on this shoot, including CJK Visuals and Mobtown Florals. I can't wait to share more photos and the full vendor team list soon! This is going to be a fun one!
