Au Revoir, 2017!

Today is New Year's Eve, 2017, and we're bundled up at home under plenty of blankets, trying to avoid the 19 degree chill outside. There is a thin coating of snow on the ground that just won't melt, and we're munching on leftover Christmas cookies before noon. Today is a relaxing one, giving me some time to reflect and look back on what a truly incredible year 2017 has been for East Made.

The beginning of 2017 seems so long ago but it sparked a slight shift in our style and aesthetic, and things became much more clear in terms of the kind of style we wanted to portray with our shoots and weddings. In 2017, we have enjoyed 21 weddings, 4 styled shoots, 3 workshops (including about 4 shoots each!), and travels to Thailand, the UK, and Spain. Our September trip to the UK marked our first international wedding, in Derby, England. We've had the honor of being published on multiple blogs, including Style Me Pretty, Once Wed, Wedding Sparrow, and Magnolia Rouge. We were asked to design a featured shoot for Baltimore Bride magazine 2018 issue. And, most importantly, we made new friends and new collaborations - both in the wedding industry and outside; from wedding vendors to engaged couples and their families.

This year, Instagram has become our preferred social media tool, and if you're on IG, I'm sure you have seen the "Best of 2017" images that have been popping up. So, in addition to sharing our most liked images on our Instagram Stories, I also wanted to share them here so that a year from now, I can look back at this blog post and see how much we've grown!

I hope you all have a wonderful and fun New Year's Eve and Day, and we'll see you in 2018! Cheers!
