Hope you all enjoyed a relaxing and fun Easter weekend! I couldn't believe it was already in the 80s in Maryland on Easter Sunday, but my love and I took a four mile hike despite the heat, and cooled down after with a delicious mint lemonade.
I'm excited to share some publication news from last week as I had my first feature on OnceWed as East Made Event Company! You can see the full post on their blog here. OnceWed has quickly become my favorite wedding blog due to their mature, clean, minimal, yet elegant aesthetic, and I always admire each photo and article they post. Seeing East Made on OnceWed has been a goal of mine since starting this company, and knowing even more now than when I started about how exclusive and selective their editors are with choosing what to publish, makes this honor even more special.
Last fall, I was lucky enough to curate a team of some of the most respected and talented wedding vendors in the DC area to bring this vision of an elegant, French-inspired, al fresco, fall wedding to life, and I have to say - each and every vendor absolutely did a stunning job. Working with Vicki Grafton was especially so creatively fulfilling and her seasoned eye for styling and thoughtful photographs captured everything so beautifully.
A bit from my summary on OnceWed:
"Tudor Place, an historic mansion located in the heart of Georgetown, is a hidden gem. Completed in 1816, it was built in a federal American style, melding French influenced romantic classicism with traditional English forms and was one of America’s first National Historic landmarks. Walking up the symmetrical paths to the facade of this historic estate, surrounded by gardens of roses and greenery, transports guests to a gorgeous chateau in the bountiful French countryside. This intimate fall gathering was styled with organic French inspiration in mind to create an elegant, autumnal celebration.
From the croquembouche adorned with just sprig of greenery to the french poem “Roses” by Rilke, hand-written in organic calligraphy, every element was chosen with elegant minimalism in mind. Mila’s silk Alexandra Grecco gown was paired with a classic twist updo to highlight the open back of the gown, and a stunning pear-shaped solitaire ring added just enough embellishment. Natural beeswax taper candles and a white linen table runner juxtaposed with cut crystal glassware, antique silver flatware, and lush florals, contributed to a curated, al fresco dining experience with the historic estate providing the perfect backdrop."
